Career Planning
The Office of Career Strategy provides students the skills and resources to secure meaningful employment consistent with their individual strengths, values and passions. We build relationships with alumni and employers to optimize opportunities.
Health and Wellness
Law school will throw many responsibilities your way, and it can be easy for your health and well-being to get lost in the mix. The Office of Law Student Affairs wants students to know that not neglecting their health is just as important as being prepared for class. A number of resources are available for our students should they need assistance.
Student Organizations
Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) are valued members of the law school community and contribute greatly to the law student experience. The St. Mary’s University School of Law encourages all students to participate in RSOs as part of their professional development, to help them manage stress, to create new social outlets, and to bolster their networking efforts. In addition, RSOs help St. Mary’s Law support the mission and goals of the law school and the University. All RSOs report to and are subject to the Assistant Dean for Law Student Affairs.
Spiritual Life
The Office of Law Campus Ministry is often referred to as the heart of the School of Law and aims to serve all faculty, staff and students from diverse backgrounds. Law Campus Minister, Sister Grace Walle, F.M.I, offers personal guidance, spiritual support, opportunity for community prayer and social occasions in accordance with the University’s Catholic and Marianist mission. The ministry fosters spiritual growth by providing inter-faith services and by being inclusive of the ecumenical dimension of the law school.
Life in San Antonio
St. Mary’s University is located in the culturally and artistically vibrant San Antonio, Texas. This area of the Southwest has an average annual balmy temperature of 69.5 degrees, which allows outdoor recreation throughout the year. As the seventh largest city in the United States, San Antonio abounds in excellent sports teams, world-class museums, picturesque parks and expansive shopping options.
