Professor Barton is a member of the practicing faculty at St. Mary’s University School of Law and has been teaching at the law school since 2011. A graduate from St. Mary’s University School of Law, Professor Barton has been practicing law for more than a decade in South- and Central-Texas in the areas of commercial and residential real estate transactions, real estate finance, and has experience representing clients in commercial and real estate litigation matters.

He is currently a Member of the Real Estate Practice Group at Branscomb Law, working out of the San Antonio office. Branscomb Law is a multi-city law firm in the State of Texas serving the legal needs of businesses and individuals throughout the state. Professor Barton enjoys teaching his law students the practical aspects of being a lawyer, including how to make their case to a judge, the ethical obligations of practicing attorneys, and the general “business of law.”
