Arturo Zapata serves as the Law Success Coordinator for the Office of Law Success. In this role, he assists students in attaining access to resources to ensure success in law school, bar preparation, and beyond. In addition, Arturo assists in planning, marketing, and implementation of Law Success programming and Raise the Bar initiatives. He also supports data tracking activities for the Law Success program.

Arturo received a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a concentration in Environmental Science in 2012. He graduated with distinction with a Master of Education in Student Services in Higher Education in 2017. Both degrees are from the University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) in San Antonio, TX. Arturo has served students in higher education for over 10 years at UIW and the University of Texas at San Antonio. Arturo’s experience encompasses the functional areas of student life, residence life, undergraduate and graduate enrollment management, and academic success.

Arturo is committed to Catholic higher education and the Marianist mission and values. He works to ensure students have the tools and support necessary to succeed and grow into responsible and well-formed legal professionals who serve the common good with a service-oriented, family spirit.

Arturo is a native San Antonian who grew up not too far from the University. He attended St. John Bosco Salesian School and Holy Cross of San Antonio, both in the vicinity of St. Mary’s. Outside of the office, Arturo loves to explore San Antonio and all it has to offer. He looks forward to Fiesta San Antonio, the city’s annual Amazing Preservation Race, and Christmas season traditions. Arturo also enjoys relaxing walks on the Riverwalk and spending time outdoors.
