Gold Club

Alumni who graduated within the last decade have a unique, affordable opportunity to turn a donation to St. Mary’s University School of Law into an ongoing enrichment and networking opportunity with peers and other professionals. By making a gift at a certain level, you will be invited to join the Law School’s fastest growing Giving Club.

The GOLD (Graduates of the Last Decade) Club is tailored to recent alumni, granting you access to network with leaders in the legal community and the law school for a gift based on the number of years since graduation. GOLD Club members receive special access to law school events and unique opportunities to engage with senior faculty and administrators.

Specific benefits include:

  • Invitations to regional gatherings such as receptions and dinners with other GOLD members and Law Leadership.
  • Periodic email announcements of major law school news and milestones.
  • Special publications and recognition at events and media.
  • Invitations to lectures and seminars led by distinguished faculty members.

Normally, an annual gift of $1,000 or more to the Law School during a fiscal year entitles you to these special invitations. However, the GOLD Club makes networking with St. Mary’s Law alumni accessible and affordable for recent alumni. The membership is renewable on an annual basis (June 1 – May 31). We have made it as easy as possible to make these contribution by dividing them into monthly gifts.

The GOLD Council votes each year on where GOLD Club contributions will be designated. This year the Council has voted to designate contributions towards a Public Interest Law Fund which provides financial support to law students who are dedicated to providing assistance to those who cannon afford representation. You are not required to designate your gift to the Public Interest Law Fund and may choose to designate it elsewhere.

The St. Mary’s University School of Law has a heart for service. The Public Interest Law Fund provides financial support to law students who are dedicated to providing assistance to those who cannot afford representation.  Classes of 2014, 2015, and 2016 contributed more than 13,000 hours of pro bono services and clinical education around the nation.

As a Graduate of the Last Decade (GOLD Club) your strength is in numbers, by pledging $100 for every year since you graduated from law school, you have an opportunity to help make a difference for law students. Your monthly gift to the Public Interest Law Fund helps provide summer stipends for internships in the public interest arena.
