GOLD Council 10 Under 10 Luncheon
Every year, the St. Mary’s University School of Law Graduates of the Last Decade (GOLD) Council honors 10 outstanding alumni who have graduated within the past 10 years at its annual 10 Under 10 Luncheon. This year, the GOLD Council will honor those who have shown extraordinary commitment to the St. Mary’s School of Law, their community and the profession. All nominations are due by Thursday, Jan. 15, 2026.

2026 10 Under 10 Honorees
This year’s luncheon will celebrate the following recipients for their outstanding achievements:
Steven Arce (J.D. ’20)
Owner, Steven Arce Law Firm, PLLC

Ricardo “Steven” Arce (J.D. ’20) was born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley and moved to San Antonio in 2013. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from St. Mary’s University in 2017 and his Doctor of Jurisprudence from St. Mary’s Law in 2020.
After four years practicing family law, criminal defense and personal injury at a boutique law firm, Arce founded the Steven Arce Law Firm, PLLC, in 2025. His practice focuses on representing individuals injured due to the negligence of others, providing compassionate and results-driven advocacy.
Outside the office, Arce enjoys working out, traveling and spending time with his wife, Valeria Guerra-Arce, their daughter, Jimena and their two dogs, Bruno and Bradley.
Raul Corrales (J.D. ’20)
Partner, Levy, Luera & Corrales, PLLC

Raul Corrales (J.D. ’20) was born and raised in Midland, Texas. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Texas Permian Basin before obtaining his Doctor of Jurisprudence from St. Mary’s Law. While in law school, Corrales served in the Law Ministry Program, studied international law at the Institute on World Legal Problems in Innsbruck, Austria, and worked with the Immigration and Human Rights Clinic. These experiences deepened his commitment to advocacy and service.
After practicing with several of San Antonio’s most respected civil litigation firms, representing both plaintiffs and defendants, Corrales co-founded Levy, Luera & Corrales, PLLC. Today, he and his partners are dedicated to representing injured Texans.Corrales remains involved with St. Mary’s Law by serving as a mentor to students in the Bar Success Program and the Personal Injury Law Association. He resides in San Antonio with his wife, Andrea.
Yahaira De Lara (J.D. ’19)
Attorney, Barton Benson Jones PLLC

Yahaira De Lara (J.D. ’19) earned her J.D. from St. Mary’s Law and her B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin. She is a commercial real estate attorney with more than six years of experience representing buyers, sellers, developers, landlords and lenders in complex commercial real estate transactions. Her practice focuses on contract drafting and negotiation, title review, acquisitions and dispositions, commercial leasing, closings, zoning matters and land use approvals.
In addition to her legal practice, De Lara is deeply involved in both the legal profession and the local community. She has served in numerous leadership roles, including those with the Mexican American Bar Association of San Antonio, Hispanic National Bar Association-Region XII, the Lavaca Neighborhood Association and the International Law Section of the State Bar of Texas. She serves as a director of the San Antonio Young Lawyers Association.
De Lara was inducted into the Texas Bar Foundation and has received multiple professional honors. She has been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star, San Antonio Magazine Top Attorney, Texas Monthly Top Attorney, Top Attorneys in America and Scene in SA Best SA Lawyers, Outstanding Women in Law and SA Rising Star Lawyer. De Lara enjoys spending time with her husband, son and their dogs.
Jeffrey Della Rocco (J.D. ’20)
Associate, Chamberlain, Hrdlicka, White, Williams & Aughtry

Jeffrey Della Rocco (J.D. ’20) graduated from St. Mary’s Law cum laude in 2020, was inducted into the Harlan Society and won the 2017 Section C Best Brief award. After graduation, he started his career at the Law Office of Matthew K. Franklin, handling real estate and probate matters.
For the past four years, Della Rocco has been working at Chamberlain, Hrdlicka, White, Williams & Aughtry providing guidance and expertise to businesses and non-profit employers of various sizes on all manner of employee benefit and executive compensation issues. He frequently assists clients with complex compliance and correction matters related to qualified retirement plans through the IRS Employee Plans Compliance Resolution System and works with Applicable Large Employers in all aspects of the Affordable Care Act compliance and reporting, including employee aggregation rule analysis under Internal Revenue Code Section 414.
As the first lawyer in his family, Della Rocco works to give back by participating in the Texas Aggie Bar Association’s mentor program and the St. Mary’s Law On Campus Interview Program. He is active on Chamberlain Hrdlicka’s Attorney Development Committee. Della Rocco is also involved in the San Antonio Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel as the Chamberlain Hrdlicka sponsor representative. When not working, Della Rocco can be found spending quality time with his wife, daughter and two dogs.
Claudia Galan (J.D. ’17)
Owner, The Galan Law Firm

Claudia Ivett Galan (J.D. ’17) is an immigration and personal injury attorney, entrepreneur and community advocate dedicated to defending immigrant families and expanding access to justice. Born in Mexico, Galan immigrated to the United States at age 18. After a lot of paperwork and years of waiting, she was able to obtain citizenship in 2013 — an experience that profoundly shaped her commitment to advocating for immigrant communities.
Galan began her academic journey at South Texas College, where she earned an Associate Degree in Business Administration. She then continued her studies at the University of Texas–Pan American, graduating cum laude in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in political science. She went on to earn her Doctor of Jurisprudence from St. Mary’s Law in 2017.
In 2019, Galan founded Galan Law Firm, PLLC, in Edinburg with the mission of providing compassionate and strategic legal representation to immigrant families. Just one year later, she expanded the firm by opening a second office in San Antonio, which now serves as the firm’s headquarters. Gala advocates for individuals and families navigating complex immigration matters, as well as for victims of crime and individuals who have suffered injuries. Her work has earned national recognition, including being named Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in Immigration Law for 2025.
Samantha McCoy (J.D. ’21)
Attorney, Hanna & Plaut, L.L.P

Samantha McCoy (J.D. ’21) is an attorney, activist and master social worker specializing in trauma-informed practice and survivor-centered policy reform. Following a violent crime, she dedicated her career to closing systemic gaps in the judicial process and advancing dignified, evidence-based responses for survivors of violence.
She has successfully lobbied for laws in five states, as well as one United Nations Resolution, and most recently successfully lobbied for passage of the federal TAKE IT DOWN (Tools to Address Known Exploitation by Immobilizing Technological Deepfakes on Websites and Networks) Act. McCoy holds a Master of Social Work and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Trauma-Informed Practice from Syracuse University, as well as a Doctor of Jurisprudence earned summa cum laude from St. Mary’s Law.
Marco Munoz (J.D. ’19)
Owner, Law Office of Marco Munoz PLLC

Born in Veracruz, Mexico, Marco Muñoz (J.D. ’19) is an attorney and founder of Law Office of Marco Munoz PLLC, where he represents clients in a broad range of legal matters, including personal injury, probate, and estate planning. Through his practice, he is committed to providing thoughtful legal guidance and strong advocacy for individuals and families.
Outside the courtroom, Muñoz is actively involved in the St. Mary’s Law community and serves as president of the St. Mary’s Law Alumni Association Houston Chapter. In addition to his legal work, Muñoz and his wife, Natalia Lombana, co-own a digital marketing company, Lombana Strategies, that specializes in paid social media marketing, helping businesses grow their online presence.
Janet Oyeteju (J.D. ’17)
Legal Counsel, CEVA Logistics

Janet A. Oyeteju (J.D. ’17) is a Houston native and an experienced in-house attorney, currently serving as Legal Counsel at CEVA Logistics. Earlier in her career, she held roles with Cardtronics, now NCR Atleos and Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union. After a decade of living, studying and working in San Antonio, Oyeteju returned to Houston in 2019 to further her career, providing strategic counsel and innovative solutions to address the diverse legal needs of corporations.
Oyeteju earned her B.B.A. from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She later obtained her Doctor of Jurisprudence from St. Mary’s Law and earned her M.B.A. from Prairie View A&M University. While at St. Mary’s, she was actively involved in leadership and service. She received the Lee J. Teran Humanitarian Award while serving as a staff writer for The Scholar: St. Mary’s Law Review on Race and Social Justice and the San Antonio Bar Foundation’s Pro Bono Service Award, among other honors and scholarships.
Oyeteju continues to support St. Mary’s Law by mentoring students, volunteering with career services, attending alumni events and advocating for the law school’s programs. She has remained actively engaged in the legal community through roles with the San Antonio Black Lawyers Association and the Houston Lawyers Association. Oyetuju serves as a director on the boards of the Houston Young Lawyers Association and the Houston Bar Association Auxiliary.
Eden Ramirez (J.D. ’18)
Shareholder, O’Hanlon, Demerath & Castillo

Eden Ramirez Jr. (J.D. ’18) is a Shareholder with O’Hanlon, Demerath & Castillo, P.C., where he represents school districts, municipalities and other governmental entities across Texas. His practice focuses on public sector governance, private sector corporate governance, employment law, administrative matters, investigations and complex operational issues facing corporate institutions. Ramirez regularly advises governing bodies and executive leadership on statutory compliance, policy development, procurement and strategic decision-making that affects the delivery of public services.
A native of the Rio Grande Valley, Ramirez earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and his Doctor of Jurisprudence from St. Mary’s Law. As a first-generation college and law school graduate, he built his career with a strong commitment to public service and to helping governmental institutions navigate the legal and policy challenges that impact their communities.
Ramirez is licensed to practice law in Texas and is an active member of several sections of the State Bar of Texas, including School Law, Governmental Law, Water Law and Administrative Law. He lives and practices in South Texas, where his work remains closely tied to the communities that shaped his upbringing and professional path.
Samantha Smith (J.D. ’19)
Central Staff Attorney, Texas Fourth Court of Appeals

Samantha Smith (J.D. ’19) is an appellate attorney at the Fourth Court of Appeals in San Antonio. Licensed in Texas since 2019, she has built a public service career focused on complex legal analysis, civil rights policy and access to justice.
Smith previously served as Civil Rights Manager for the City of San Antonio, where she helped develop initiatives to strengthen nondiscrimination protections and evaluate civil rights issues across city programs. Earlier in her career, she represented vulnerable clients in immigration proceedings at the Center for Legal and Social Justice.
She remains committed to community engagement and currently serves as Pro Bono and Community Service Chair for the San Antonio Young Lawyers Association, helping expand volunteer service and partnerships to benefit the San Antonio community.
GOLD Council
The St. Mary’s University School of Law GOLD (Graduates of the Last Decade) Council was founded in 2015. The GOLD Council’s purpose is to help St. Mary’s provide meaningful young alumni events and outreach to help recent graduates remain connected. The GOLD Council seeks to better serve and support recent graduates with specifically targeted events, programs and communications.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Graduated in the past 10 years
- Promote the social, professional, philanthropic and service interests of young alumni
- Attend at least two of three meetings in San Antonio, Texas
- Regularly attend young alumni and other School of Law-related events
- Financially support the School of Law at a personally appropriate level
- Actively participate in young alumni programs and initiatives
- Work to increase young alumni engagement
- Review and select nominees for 10 Under 10 luncheon*
- Assist with planning and coordinating young alumni events
- Recruit new members to the Council
- Serve as link between School of Law administration and young alumni
If you are interested in joining the GOLD Council, please submit an application to the School of Law Advancement Office. Council members serve one-year terms but are eligible for re-appointment upon expiration of their term. Those members who have submitted an application and have fulfilled the roles and responsibilities will be invited to serve additional terms. All applications are reviewed and nominations made by the School of Law Advancement Office.
