Cyrilla-Lyn D. Thompson

Biography

Cyrilla-Lyn D. Thompson (M.B.A. ’23, J.D. ’23) is the Clinic Operations Manager at the Center for Legal and Social Justice (CLSJ) at the St. Mary’s University School of Law. The CLSJ programs provide students opportunities to gain real-life lawyering skills, often serving income-limited clients otherwise unlikely to obtain representation.

Before joining the CLSJ in 2024, Thompson worked as a legal aid attorney focusing on representing Bexar County tenants facing eviction. Thompson serves on the Board of Directors for the Bexar County Women’s Bar Association, where they chair the Community Outreach Committee.

Thompson is a San Antonio native and graduated from Incarnate Word High School. They received their law degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law, where they were a student attorney in the Consumer Protection Clinic. They are a first-generation college graduate who received undergraduate degrees in Sociology and Women’s Studies from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Thompson also received their Master of Business Administration from St. Mary’s Greehey School of Business.
