Assistant Director, Law Career Strategy

Biography

Veronica Elizalde serves as the Assistant Director for the Office of Career Strategy (“OCS”). Veronica began working for St. Mary’s Law in December 2017, when she joined the OCS team as a temporary, part-time career advisor. She advises and counsels law students, alumni, and LL.M. students in all aspects of their career development, which includes career search and strategy counseling, document review, interview strategy, and mock interviews. She also assists with the development and presentation of career-related programs.

After graduating from the University of Texas School of Law, Veronica spent five years in private practice as an attorney specializing in the evaluation and prosecution of high-volume, delinquent ad valorem tax suits. Prior to that, she attended St. Mary’s University where she received a BA in English-Communication Arts. Over the years, she has volunteered her time to various organizations including the San Antonio Food Bank and local public schools. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, exercising, and reading.
