Biography

Armando Prado, Jr. serves as the Director of Graduate Law Admissions and Enrollment Management for the St. Mary’s University School of Law. He received a BS in Criminology, with a minor in Political Science, from Texas A&M University-San Antonio and holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Armando brings over 8 years of college recruitment and admissions experience. 

As Director of Graduate Law Admissions, Prado assists prospective students with the application process to any of the available Graduate Law programs including the LL.M., M.Jur., and Certificates. He also assists new and current students with course and career advising.  

Prior to joining St. Mary’s Law, Prado served as the Manager of Enrollment and Alumni Services for the Feik School of Pharmacy at the University of the Incarnate Word, where he oversaw the student recruitment for the Pre-Pharmacy and the professional, Doctor of Pharmacy degree programs. He also helped engage alumni of the program, often hosting social and networking events for alumni across Texas. 

Armando has been an active member of the Association for Graduate Enrollment Management (NAGAP) as well as the Texas Association for College Admission Counseling (TACAC), in which he served as a conference Fellow in 2015. He previously served on the Fellows Selection Committee for the organization. He is also a member of the Texas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (TACRAO) and the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC). He is passionate about college access and enjoys assisting all students who are interested in pursuing a higher education. 

During his free time, Armando enjoys traveling and cruising the Caribbean with his wife, Mary Daniela.
